It is said that when you educate a woman, you educate an entire family. In the tranquil district of Koraput, empowered women took an initiative to transform the landscape of education in their neighborhood. Supported by Bal Raksha Bharat, the initiative has illuminated the path towards educational prosperity, with mothers emerging as the driving force behind this monumental change.

Alongside the intervention of various programmes and events in the project villages, it becomes evident that the role of mothers is pivotal in shaping the educational trajectory of society. These women stand as pillars of inspiration, igniting the flames of knowledge within their households.

Witnessing numerous activities unfold in their communities, these mothers find themselves motivated to instill the value of education among their children. Their relentless dedication and active involvement have led to a remarkable achievement: ensuring 100% school attendance in the 30 villages under this project.

By actively engaging with the community and underscoring the significance of education, these mothers serve as potent motivators for their children. Their influence lays the groundwork for a lifelong journey of learning and personal growth for the young minds.

As one of the mothers aptly puts it, “Education is not just about books and classrooms; it’s about empowering our children to dream, aspire and achieve. As mothers, we hold the key to unlocking their potential and shaping a brighter future for generations to come.”

Through the empowerment of women, particularly mothers, education transcends mere academia, thus becoming an inspiration to transform the entire community.
