RISK REDUCTION, PREPAREDNESS AND RESILIENCE IN URBAN INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS AND SCHOOLS IN INDIA

For a child living in a slum in Kolkata or Patna, education is a distant dream. We are extremely committed towards making this basic right a reality for them. We believe in constant interventions in their lives through children groups, community building exercises and disaster preparedness to ensure these children have the basic tools to survive even if they are some of the most at-risk part of the population in this country. The working and development of local champions at grassroots level enable a sustainable path forward for this programme and paves way for it to be institutionalised within these communities.

This project closed in June 2023
